Simon Appleton

Market Abuse, Surveillance Director

Simon brings over 35 years of market abuse surveillance expertise, including senior roles at regulatory bodies like the FCA where he detected, investigated, and developed complex market abuse cases leading to criminal and civil convictions. As former Head of Exchange Operations at SWX Swiss Exchange, he led their Market Supervision and Control team. He spent twelve years in senior consultancy helping investment firms, ARMs, and trading venues establish robust market abuse and surveillance.
