Fiona O’Shea, Senior Associate, asophere
Fiona is a senior associate at aosphere LLP. Fiona qualified as a solicitor in 2002 and joined aosphere in 2009 assisting with the development and launch of the Rulefinder Shareholding Disclosure service and ongoing coordination of its legal content. She has particular expertise of European shareholding disclosures, having developed its enhanced content to cover the Amending Transparency Directive. More recently she assisted with the development and launch of aosphere’s newest product, Rulefinder E-Signatures in April, 2020, including its unique cross border tool and continues to manage the product’s legal content.
Prior to joining aosphere, Fiona was a senior transactional lawyer at Allen & Overy in the corporate practice, advising on merger and acquisition transactions for corporates and financial institutions, including public takeovers, group restructurings, capital raisings and listing requirements, with a particular focus on cross-border private acquisitions and disposals.
Angie Huff, Regulatory Advisory Director, Kaizen Reporting
Angie is a technical expert in shareholding disclosures gained through 13 years’ experience at four of the tier 1 investment banks – UBS, Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank. She has previously managed their global and regional shareholding disclosure and advisory teams including implementing disclosure systems.
Angie was on the advisory board that originally consulted on the design of the aosphere “Rulefinder” shareholding disclosure product from global law firm, Allen and Overy.
Angie also chairs shareholding disclosure forums of industry experts some of which she has co-chaired with Thomson Reuters (now Refinitiv).
Samantha Withers, EMEA Lead – Legal and Compliance Shareholding Monitoring and Reporting, BlackRock
Samantha is the EMEA lead within BlackRock’s Legal & Compliance Shareholder Monitoring and Reporting team advising on portfolio management, trading and disclosure obligations.
Samantha has over 20 years’ experience in financial markets managing risk across a broad range of regulatory & compliance regimes and operational processes. Samantha has worked at Tier 1 investment firms on both the buy and sell side including BZW, Barclays Capital, Morgan Stanley and for the last 6 years at BlackRock.
